House Party

Share the story of ‘Reparando’ with your family and friends.

We want to empower you to expose the situation in Guatemala to your family and friends with a Reparando House Party. We’ve worked hard to create resources for you to share that will help make the event a success, including promotional materials, information packages, and coupons for discounts on Reparando Products. We typically charge licensing fees for theater events, but have made house party licenses free to encourage viewers to share the story. We ask that you don’t charge ticket sales, but you are free to take up a donation if you wish.

Here’s the step-by-step of hosting a Reparando house party:

  • You need a copy of ‘Reparando’ to show at your party.
  • Invite your friends and family.
  • Print off the Menu, Discussion Guide, and ‘Reparando’ house party visuals to display.
  • Take a look at the Event Resource Guide. While most of the tips are for public screenings, you may find someone of the content helpful in planning your House Party.
  • Make some of the ‘Reparando’-themed dishes (outlined below) to share with guests
  • After everyone has mingled for a while, show the movie ‘Reparando’.
  • When the movie is over be sensitive to the emotions in the room.
  • Use the Discussion Guide to discuss the film & encourage your guests to join the ‘Reparando’ Movement. Personal stories are very powerful, so tell them how you heard about ‘Reparando’ and what encouraged you take the next step of involvement. Please share our website photos@reparandomovie.com. Be fun and creative!
  • Upload your photo to facebook.com/Athentikos and tag you and your friends.
  • After the party, e-mail your guests with the link to the http://ReparandoMovie.com website and ask them to share their thoughts online via Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
  • And please let ericha@athentikos.com know if you plan to host a house screening. We’d love to hear about your event.
