Host a Screening

It’s fun and easy to host a screening.

You can schedule a screening at your local theater, church, campus or organization. We would like to make this screening experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible for you and therefore have put together this ‘Reparando’ Screening Resource Packet in order to assist you. Your ‘Reparando’ screening is a great way to raise awareness and even funds for your specific cause! We recommend that you pick a specific cause, organization, or event to raise funds for. In the past, teams have raised money for mission trips, to support local homeless groups, ministrie or orphanages. Some have provided equipment for a rehab, funding for a safe house in Guatemala — and more. Or, use ‘Reparando’ to share about your Mission or Vision Trip experience with your friends, family and church when you return home.

Steps to host a screening:

2. Purchase a screening license through our online store.
3. Use the event resource packet to start planning your screening.

‘Reparando’ is our gift to Guatemala, which was made possible by thousands of volunteer hours over the course of three years. Our film production company, Athentikos was birthed through this film project. We were simply responding to what we had seen with our time, talents and resources, and are thrilled with the response to the film.

We partner with grass roots leaders like Tita & Shorty featured in the ‘Reparando’ and our advisors, EdT to help make a difference in Guatemala. EdT (The Strategy for Transformation) serve urban leaders who in turn serve the least, the last and the lost in hard places. We are their voice, and a “marketing arm” for them. It is an extreme honor to tell their stories and give a voice to the voiceless. And … People are responding! Viewers are giving towards efforts in Guatemala, serving in their local communities, talking about the issues in the film and going to Guatemala as a result of viewing the film project. We expect you will witness the same response at your event.

The license fee and a portion of the funds raised at your event (if you choose to raise funds at your event) will be used for future film projects and micro-enterprise projects in Guatemala. These funds will exponentially provide opportunity to “voiceless” as more audiences hear this life-changing message. A portion of all the proceeds from DVD sales also goes towards tangible ministries. We have and will continue to invest in micro-finance projects with the guidance of EdT.

I own the DVD. Why do I need a License?

Copyright law is very clear concerning the use of retail DVDs in any venue outside of a home. We have developed this program to not only allow your church or ministry to “be legal” but also to empower you with tools to make your Movie Event successful. Athentikos requires that a license be purchased for any event shown outside of a private home. With your license we also provide you with marketing and event resources to make your event successful.
